Sneaky sneaky...

Just a very quick one today. I picked up my brushes for the first time in about two weeks and managed to finish off Snikrot with some dashing camo pants (if I do say so myself - cheers go out to Studio McVey Blog for their tutorial on camo here).

He hasn't turned out exactly like I had planned and the pictures as normal seem to highlight every minor flaw and brush stroke, but otherwise I am happy with him and he now sits proudly on the shelf with my other Orks - waiting for some more Kommandos to show up.

Cheers all,

Pom

  1. I think he turned out great, those camo pants really do look very nice. I also particularly like his backpack and the musculature, that skin tone is awesome. Snikrot is one of my favorite models so it's a real joy to see him painted so well... great work!

  2. Thanks very much Papps. I was a bit chuffed with the pants - it was dead easy after I read the Studio McVey post and had a think about it - with the camo - less appears to be more.

Orks would have to be my favourite models to paint - Glad you enjoyed the model and thanks for stopping by.

  3. That's no Ork, that's a Scout Master!:)

Bad jokes aside, that is one very finely painted Snikrot and I am sure that he is awaiting some company in the form of more Kommandos.

  4. Cheers mate. I have looked a couple of times at the GW models, and more recently the FW ones but havent been too bothered with them. I may have a crack at kitbashing some from various kits in the future. Something to ponder on.
