I found doing this helped me visualise my end force that much better.
These things can be as details, or simple as you want them to be.
I'm going to have a crack at getting ones done for my Guard, Orks, WoC and Empire armies.
Unfortunately my Marine one seems to have lots of red/orange on it. Back to the paint pots then.
Cheers all,
Pom
It's so interesting to see this type of chart, I'm very impressed with both the level of organization and ambition that it shows. I hadn't realized the full scope of this project until seeing it all presented this way. I like how much of the 1st and 10th companies included in this force, and with their own command elements too! Very cool stuff, best wishes to you in making all those boxes green.
ReplyDeleteCheers for stopping by Papps. As there's no rush to complete the army, it's not actually as daunting as the chart would make it seem. My goal is to have it completed in the next 3 years (subject to procrastination and other projects taking my fancy).
ReplyDeleteHistorically, the majority of this has been accomplished before when the army wore the colours of the Ultramarines when I first started in the hobby 12 odd years ago. A dunk in brake fluid and a re-application of primer got me to my current state.
I view this as a challenge. Challenges are good for hobby devlopment and help keep it all fresh. Or so I tell myself when I look at my shelves of unpainted minis.
Always good to see, mate!
