While reading it, I realised that the colour scheme for the chapter is similar to my own, but they have red trim whereas mine have black.
I am painting some plebe Marines so thought I would have a crack at the red trim and see what it looks like in min form with my grey scheme.
This is what I got.
The cover art also shows they have more gold but I stay away from metallics where I can so this is what I have.
What do you guys think. Should I apply it to a squad and see what it looks like en masse, or call it there, and revert back to the old scheme?
Cheers,
Pom
These marines look very sharp! I really like how the colours have been worked up to lighter tones -- particularly the shoulders and the head -- it really draws attention to them. The red trim is also a good contrast colour on the guy on the left. Don't see why you should revert to metallics myself :)
ReplyDeleteI must say I'm in favour of the red trims, makes the whole model pop a lot more! It's easier to see what is a shoulderpad and what's an arm and where the torso starts..
ReplyDeleteSo go red!
Alrighty then - twos enough. Cheers guys, I think I will whip out the red on a squads worth and see if I still like it before I attempt to re-trim the army. I might alos finally get around to some decals and such.
ReplyDeleteCheers again.
